I am finally in Ireland! After leaving Wales i went to Morocco for Some exploring and let me tell you its a way of life a lot of us know nothing about. If you are into adventure and learning about different culture its worth a visit. It’s hard to describe the feeling of riding a camel under a massive star lit sky out on the Sahara. It feels like you are in a dream.
So now I’m in Ireland. As you can guess its been raining A LOT so Ive yet to do any exploring of the country. I’ll be based here for the next year and maybe two. I broke my Irish performance cherry right away and performed a few songs in Cork at the Brue Bar. Ive since retreated to the country side near Clogheen where ive been working on a Dairy farm, living in a modest old house and working on new material for the 3rd album. Ive been practicing new styles of finger picking and exploring different methods of songwriting. Its been awhile since ive had a steady roof over my head. Its great to have a spot to myself to practice and write but im already getting itchy feet! I plan to get back to my guitar toting drifter lifestyle come summer. Im hoping to set a bit of money aside to have some adventures around Europe such as the running of the bulls in Pamplona, La tomatina in Bunol Spain and a stop to take on Octoberfest in Munich among many others and of course all the while performing anywhere and everywhere I get the opportunity!
I cant wait to do some exploring and have a chance to perform some of these great new songs ive been churning out. I’ll likely put a few rough drafts of some of the new songs on you tube for you all to get a taste and see a bit of the creation and evolution of a song.
Spring is finally here and change is in the air!
