Hey everyone
So I got back in the studio last weekend and we got a pile of music made. I even recorded a brand new song i’d just wrote a few days before! I think its really nice. Just the acoustic, harmonica and me. For the first time in my recording career I invited female back up singers to sing with me on a few songs. It was a bit of a challenge to try and explain what i was looking for but as we got rolling things got easier. It will be a couple months before i can save enough money to get back in there again but it will happen and who knows what I may write between now and then. I am also planing to record a few solo acoustic version of songs that are being done with a band. So there will be two versions to get and decide which you prefer. I think you will go back and forth depending on your mood. Some of the arrangement or the key of the song or a few lyrics will also change to give it its own story. Ive always loved when artists release an acoustic version of a song you already know and allow you to hear it in its true form. In its most raw state. If its still good then…well you know its a good song. So those are a few of the ideas ive been experimenting with lately. I feel confident in saying this album is 75 to 80% finished at this point.
